Humanbased launches self-service marketplace for AI teams and experts to co-create data

Humanbased launched a self-service AI data marketplace in November 2026 where agent builders and domain experts co-create task-specific data. The platform gives AI teams a self-service way to commission the data their agents need, work directly with contributors and adapt production as requirements change.

Humanbased is built around a practical development problem: a team knows where its agent falls short, but a ready-made dataset does not fit. The platform lets builders start with that problem and commission data around the capability they need.

“The people building an agent should be able to shape the data it learns from,” said Yi Zhang, founder of Humanbased. “They bring the problem and the standard. Experts bring the judgment. We give them a way to create that data together—and adapt it as their needs change.”

Through self-service Campaigns, teams set contributor requirements, rewards and acceptance standards. There is no minimum project commitment: builders can begin with a focused task, assess the results and decide where to invest next. They control both the quality bar and the budget.

That control continues after launch. Teams can revise tasks and review criteria themselves as their models evolve. Humanbased’s focus is not simply delivering expert data, but giving builders a direct role in shaping it throughout development.
