From a Lady FlyFisherwoman

A Gallon of Tartar Sauce?

I met Kate Lavelle while fishing at Wessagussett with Jack Gartside. She can really handle a fly rod. Jack gave her his battered copy of STRIPAH LOVE which she read during take-offs and landings on her job as a flight attendant for Northwest Airlines. Here's what she had to say.

-- SM

It was great fishing with you a couple of weeks ago. Sorry the fishing didn't pick up for you and Jack after I left but at least you were able to scope out some hot new fishing spots. Just wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed reading 'Stripah Love'. I was reading it on the airplane the other day and the crew had to pry me off of my jumpseat to start the beverage service, I couldn't put it down. The only thing that could have made it any better was reading it with a large order of fried clams and a gallon of tarter sauce! Hope you can get out on the flats again soon and thanks for writing such a great story! Kate Lavelle
